10 am AEDT, 29 October 2020 – Webinar

Reconnecting with self is a practical webinar for any current or past military personnel who feels they want to get in touch with themselves again, who want more in life, or are struggling with a mental health issue and want help to find a way out. Together we will explore how benefiting from a military life can also include time to tune into our own personal needs and focus on what is important to us. It provides opportunity for action through four scientifically evaluated methods, which provides hope that we can build a valuable life which is worth living. We know transformation can take time and the road isn’t always smooth sailing, but the resources are within each one of us. We just need the time to focus on what’s important to us and the effort to execute the skills.

Presenter: Michelle Wotton

Michelle is a registered psychologist who has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults across a number of public hospitals in Sydney. Michelle now works in private practice at The Resilience Centre in Sydney, where she passionately works to rebuild confidence in the clients and families she sees, highlighting how positive change occurs from the pre-existing strength found from within the client themselves. Michelle is also conducting clinical research at the Australian Catholic University in Sydney. As a young adult, Michelle served in the Transport Corps of the Australian Army at both the Richmond RAAF base and Enoggera base in Brisbane. She has lived and understands the Military culture and the challenges of reintegrating to civilian life; specifically re-connecting with the self at completion of military service.
